Survey: AI Training Is the Most Common Planned U.S. Business Investment for the Next Year
A Liferay survey of 500 full-time U.S. employees involved in corporate AI decisions found that 39% of companies plan to invest in AI training over the next 12 months, compared with 21% planning dedicated investment in AI agents. Nearly 30% already run AI agents in production and another 26% are piloting them. Employees' two leading concerns about AI agents are data privacy and trust.
The survey indicates that employee training and trust are key bottlenecks in corporate AI adoption. This directly affects demand for AI education products, especially corporate AI-literacy and prompt-engineering training. More training budgets may go toward AI skills, while wider agent adoption will require employees to move from asking questions to reviewing AI decisions, changing workflows and training content.
