Assam AI Education Roadmap Targets Dropout Risk, Teacher Support, and Foundational Learning

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma unveiled a roadmap for AI-driven school education on August 18, 2026. It calls for AI attendance and student-tracking systems, AI reading-fluency assessments, and AI chatbots for regular evaluation. The initiative aims to identify learning gaps early, flag students at risk of dropping out, and support teachers with lesson preparation and classroom instruction.
