Yangzhou Skills Night School Offers Hands-On AI Course with 600,000-Attendance Goal by 2028

Yangzhou Skills Night School opened a free course on AI applications and hands-on practice on August 9 for company employees, young entrepreneurs, university graduates, and others. Modules include practical work with a Yangzhou-dialect large model and building a knowledge base for AI toys. Yangzhou plans more than 600,000 AI-training attendances and over 1,500 in-person classes by 2028.

Yangzhou has added AI-skills training to a government-led public-benefit system with quantified targets, directly affecting talent supply and grassroots employability. Free practical courses lower access barriers for workers and entrepreneurs. Extending training into local communities may prompt other cities to adopt similar models.
