Minqing County People's Congress Holds First AI Study Session and Assigns Agent-Town Development Tasks

The Standing Committee of the Minqing County People's Congress held a video training session on AI on August 4 for government staff and county congress deputies in 16 townships. The meeting studied Xi Jinping's address at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and assigned goals including a '3531' industrial system, the Meixi Agent Town, and the recruitment and development of 30 algorithm and AIGC companies.

The event shows a county-level legislature treating AI industry as a core development task and using training to strengthen deputies' performance, potentially accelerating local policy. Deputies will inspect and supervise priority projects, including gaps in digital infrastructure and talent, and use their platform to develop investment leads toward 30 algorithm and AIGC companies and more than ten AI demonstration settings.
