Shenzhen's Futian District Reports District-Wide AI Education Results with Several National Firsts

In 2026, Shenzhen's Futian District represented China's basic education system at the World Digital Education Conference, where it shared its AI education experience, and became the site of a UNESCO Asia-Pacific learning-sciences community base. Futian has built AI learning centers in 78 schools, issued General AI Education Guidelines for Primary and Secondary School Students, and advanced an education-AI initiative comprising 20 project schools, 100 use cases, and 1,000 practice cases.

Futian's district-wide model gives other regions replicable policies, platforms, and standards and directly affects market access and teacher-capability requirements.
