Roanoke College and Google Partner to Offer Free AI Certificates

Roanoke College and Grow with Google are offering students, faculty, and staff free industry credentials across 24 certificate programs, including project management and cybersecurity, each with an embedded AI component. Part of the Google AI for Education Accelerator, the courses are delivered through Coursera and result in certificates that participants can add to their résumés.

The partnership integrates AI skills with traditional disciplines and offers a replicable model for small liberal-arts colleges that may influence AI talent-development paths. Students gain AI-related credentials that improve employability, while other small colleges gain an example of partnering with a technology company.
