Four Indian States Advance AI Education as Karnataka Builds University and Mizoram Partners with Google

Karnataka, Mizoram, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi are advancing AI education. Karnataka's deputy chief minister announced an AI university and plans to introduce AI learning from Grade 6. Mizoram's chief minister discussed integrating Gemini AI into classrooms with Google, which will provide free teacher training. Delhi opened a STEM laboratory covering AI, robotics, and other areas at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya in Pitampura.

These state initiatives will affect skills development for tens of millions of students and may create a large product market. Karnataka's university and Grade 6 instruction will change curricula for students and teachers. Mizoram's free teacher training with Google may strengthen literacy, though results will depend on implementation.
