Beihang Opens AI Applications in Humanities and Social Sciences Micro-Credential to the Public, Enrolling 30

Beihang University has released admissions information for its micro-credential in Artificial Intelligence and Applications in the Humanities and Social Sciences, opening it to public learners for the first time with 30 places in the initial cohort. The program uses blended online and in-person teaching on weekends, and students who complete ten credits receive a certificate. Applications close August 20, 2026, with enrollment around September–October 2026.

Opening the micro-credential gives working professionals and non-AI students an official route to systematically learn applied AI skills and lowers barriers to education. Other universities may follow, changing the supply structure for talent. Career changers and non-specialists gain Beihang-certified learning opportunities that can improve employability, while similar public programs could expand social access to AI education.
