China's National Smart Education Platform Adds International, Lifelong, and Chinese-Language Learning Entry Points

At the 2026 World Digital Education Conference on May 12, China announced upgrades to the National Smart Education Platform, adding entry points for international resources, lifelong learning, and Chinese-language learning.

The Chinese-language learning platform supports knowledge-graph recommendations, real-time interaction, and intelligent lesson plans, expanding the national platform's audience from enrolled students and teachers to global users and adult learners.

Key areas to watch include available courses, language coverage, cross-border access, actual learning data, and transparency of the recommendation system.
