Delhi University and AMD Partner to Train 10,000 Students in AI

Delhi University and AMD signed an MoU to train up to 10,000 students in AI over the next year. Students and faculty will get access to ROCm software, GPU cloud credits, and technical workshops for hands-on learning. The agreement was signed by DU Registrar Dr Vikas Gupta and AMD India Country Head Jaya Jagadish.

This collaboration brings AMD's industry tools and resources directly into Indian university AI teaching, potentially enhancing students' practical skills and employability. For AI education product developers, it signals accelerating industry-academia partnerships in India, which may influence future AI talent development standards and curriculum design. Delhi University students and faculty will gain access to ROCm software and GPU cloud credits for hands-on practice and AI application development. This partnership may encourage other Indian universities to establish similar AI training collaborations with tech companies.
