15 Busan Institutions Form AI Education Platform Governance Body

Dong-eui University announced on September 15 that it signed a business agreement on August 29 with 14 Busan-area organizations to establish an 'AI Edu Tech Education Platform Governance' mechanism. Participants include the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, the Busan Metropolitan Childcare Center Association and the Silla University Women's Studies Institute, covering education, childcare and edutech. The parties will combine educational infrastructure with AI technology to grow the regional education ecosystem and cooperate in fostering the edutech industry in the southeastern region.

The agreement expands AI education from a single-campus project into a regional multi-institution collaboration involving universities, the education administration, childcare institutions and the edutech industry, which could change how AI education content is developed and validated in Busan. For education product providers, the regional governance mechanism could become a channel into school and childcare settings; for parents and teachers, a lifelong education platform spanning young children to adults could widen access to AI education resources.
