ENGAUSA in Kano, Nigeria, Launches AI Certification and Inclusive Skills Training

ENGAUSA Global Tech Hub held STARTUP FRIDAY at Kano's Technology Incubation Centre on July 31, partnering with New York-based AI CERTs to launch internationally recognized AI certifications and hold a graduation ceremony for its first certified trainers and learners. The event also recognized 12 visually impaired learners who completed a PC exploration course and launched a skills program offering free smartphone-repair and solar-installation training to Almajiri children.

The event shows AI education in northern Nigeria expanding through international collaboration and inclusive design and gives marginalized groups a route into the digital economy. It increases internationally certified AI training opportunities and recognition of skills among people with visual and hearing impairments. Learners gain credentials that improve employability, while training creates income opportunities for Almajiri children and people with disabilities.
