Gaotu Adds an AI Teacher to Its 'Three-Teacher Classroom' Alongside a Lead Teacher and Learning Coach

On May 7, Gaotu Smart Learning launched its 'Three-Teacher Live Customized Classroom,' where a lead teacher, learning coach, and AI teacher work together, supported by learning supervision, class communities, and weekly learning reports.

The product assigns AI to practice, feedback, and some personalized support, while human teachers handle instruction, supervision, and service, instead of positioning AI as a standalone teacher.

Key areas to watch include the actual division of work among the three roles, consistency between automated and human grading, the parent payment structure, and student learning outcomes.
