Global Smart Education Conference Focuses on Practical AI as Chinese AI Education Products Expand Overseas

The Global Smart Education Conference was held at Beijing Normal University's Changping campus in August under the theme 'Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development in Education.' iFLYTEK showcased its Xingguang Super Agent, which opened to all users in June and saw registrations increase 80-fold in two months, surpassing 100,000 users. NetDragon Vice President Chen Changjie said the company's AI production center has cut the time needed to produce high-quality educational content to under one hour and reduced marginal costs to roughly RMB 100.

Competition in AI education now centers on whether products can become part of actual educational workflows, which determines whether schools will adopt them. AI is also lowering the cost of taking education products overseas, enabling Chinese solutions to adapt more quickly to international demand and influence the global education market. Rapid growth in teacher-facing AI tools such as iFLYTEK Xingguang may change lesson preparation and teaching, while production costs near RMB 100 could speed product iteration and overseas expansion.
