IIM Ahmedabad Partners with OpenAI to Integrate ChatGPT Edu

IIM Ahmedabad partnered with OpenAI in February 2026 to use ChatGPT Edu for training, practical projects, and industry-related work for students, faculty, and staff. The institute also launched the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of AI and a two-year blended MBA in Business Analytics and AI.

This collaboration will change how AI education is delivered in Indian business schools, providing a reference for others. Direct impacts include enhancing practical AI skills for students and faculty, and promoting research at the intersection of AI and management. However, implementation details and outcomes are yet to be disclosed. Students and faculty will gain hands-on experience with ChatGPT Edu, improving AI application skills.
