South Korea and Singapore Launch AI Education Teacher Exchange

South Korea and Singapore launched a teacher exchange program in August 2026 to strengthen STEM education and enhance teachers' ability to use AI in classrooms. The first cohort includes 42 teachers: 20 from South Korea and 22 from Singapore. Korean teachers visit Singapore from Aug 20 to Sep 5, and Singaporean teachers will visit Korea from Oct 25 to 31. The program includes observing AI-integrated classes and developing interdisciplinary teaching models.

The program shows AI education is becoming part of teacher professional development, not just student technology access. Teachers will directly observe AI-integrated teaching and develop new methods. This affects teacher training systems in both countries and may provide a model for other nations. Enhances participating teachers' AI teaching skills, affecting classroom practices. Promotes policy exchange between Korea and Singapore, potentially institutionalizing AI education cooperation.
