NetClass Technology Launches First AI Companion Product LinkeeBot via Joint Venture
Smart education solutions provider NetClass Technology (Nasdaq: NTCL) has officially launched its first interactive AI companion product LinkeeBot through Linkee AI Company Limited, a joint venture in which NetClass holds a 40% stake. The product uses natural language processing to provide real-time voice conversation, interactive support, schedule management and efficiency reminders, and is powered by a large language model that can chat in fluent English and Chinese. It targets all age groups, with a focus on university students, young professionals and Gen Z consumers, in Southeast Asia, mainland China, Hong Kong and Japan, and is currently on sale through its dedicated website.
This marks NetClass Technology's strategic shift from B2B education technology toward the consumer AI hardware market, and its existing relationships with students and educational institutions may help distribution in Asian markets. The AI companion hardware sector has many global players and is becoming very crowded, with products highly similar in function, mainly around voice conversation, emotion recognition and haptic feedback. The markets LinkeeBot targets, such as Southeast Asia and mainland China, are also among the most competitive. NetClass has not disclosed any sales data or differentiated technical details for LinkeeBot, making it difficult to judge whether it can stand out. NetClass Technology's business expands from institutional education technology clients to directly facing consumers, which may create additional revenue opportunities but also brings uncertainty around consumer demand, product adoption and the profitability of the new joint venture. The AI companion hardware sector LinkeeBot enters is crowded with highly similar products, and the markets it targets, such as Southeast Asia and mainland China, are among the most competitive, requiring it to answer why consumers would choose it.
