OpenAI Launches Hands-On Teacher AI Workshops in Multiple Regions, Initially Reaching More Than 1,600 Educators

On July 8, OpenAI and the Walton Family Foundation announced K–12 AI Skills Jams across multiple regions, with the first round reaching more than 1,600 teachers, administrators, and district leaders.

The project emphasizes hands-on, in-person practice and joint participation by different school roles, moving the model company's investment in education adoption from online materials into regional training networks.
