PhysicsWallah Begins Testing AI Tutor, Plans Full Launch Next Quarter

PhysicsWallah said during its Q1 FY27 earnings call that AI Tutor has entered beta testing and is scheduled for release next quarter. Built on proprietary teaching data, the product recorded a hallucination rate below 1% in initial tests and has handled more than 1,000 queries from over 300 students. The company also said delays to the NEET exam caused online NEET revenue to fall 28%.

If successful, the product could reshape AI tutoring in India's test-preparation market and lower the cost of personalized instruction. It could provide Indian students with affordable, scalable one-to-one AI tutoring, potentially affecting the traditional tutoring market, while advancing technical standards for non-English and multimodal AI education products.
