SCERT Uttarakhand and Kotak Education Foundation Partner to Build Teacher AI Literacy
The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Uttarakhand has partnered with Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) to build AI literacy and competency among teachers in the state. The two organizations will jointly work on content development, online course design, technical support, and the implementation and dissemination of online courses for teachers. The courses are expected to be delivered through platforms including DIKSHA, UK e-Srijan and Mission Karmayogi, and are structured in three levels: basic, intermediate and advanced.
This is a defined partnership between a state teacher-training institution and a private foundation on AI literacy, directly changing how teachers in Uttarakhand access AI training and how the course is structured. For teachers, delivery through existing platforms may lower the barrier to participation; for education product practitioners, the distribution path via platforms such as DIKSHA is worth noting. Currently only the partners' press statement is available, with no course launch date, number of teachers covered, or outcome data. Teachers in Uttarakhand can access graded AI training through existing platforms such as DIKSHA, making the training channel more concrete. The foundation-state partnership on course development offers a reference model for teacher AI literacy programmes in other regions.
