Songjiang No. 2 High School Partners with Shanghai University of Engineering Science to Offer AI and Green Low-Carbon Summer Courses
In the summer of 2026, Shanghai University of Engineering Science and Songjiang No.2 High School signed a three-year cooperation agreement, launching two summer science practice courses on 'green low-carbon' and 'artificial intelligence'. More than 50 incoming high school students attended a two-day course, learning carbon footprint accounting and building a campus AI assistant. The course used the internal testing platform 'Xingyun LCA' to help students understand the underlying logic of AI. Over the next three years, the two parties will continue to co-develop courses in fields such as artificial intelligence and urban transportation.
This cooperation brings cutting-edge university research into high school classrooms, providing students with opportunities to engage with AI and green low-carbon technologies, potentially influencing future talent cultivation models. Direct impacts include: students gain hands-on experience to understand the underlying logic of AI, rather than just training; and it provides a replicable course design example for other high school-university collaborations. However, the course's effectiveness is based only on student feedback, lacking quantitative evaluation. Students gain interdisciplinary practical experience through carbon footprint accounting and AI agent building, potentially influencing their choice of major. It provides a replicable model for high school-university cooperation in science education, potentially promoting similar collaborations.
