Suzhou Launches AI Lead-Teacher Training for Primary and Secondary Schools and Seeks Educational Use Cases Already in Practice

On August 12, the Suzhou Education Bureau published a notice launching a call and showcase for 'AI + Education' application scenarios and a citywide program to train AI education lead teachers in primary and secondary schools.

The call covers teaching and instruction, student learning, teacher development, education administration, and school governance. Submissions must come from existing practice and explain the problem, AI application, implementation results, and conditions for replication and scaling. Pure product introductions, conceptual designs, and proposals not yet in use are outside the recommendation scope, and all submissions must comply with privacy protection, data security, and ethical standards.

Each county-level city or district may recommend three trainees, while each school or unit directly administered by the municipal education bureau may recommend one; materials are due August 21. Selected scenarios will enter a city-level reserve of exemplary cases, and some projects will receive roadshow exposure. Follow-up should verify the selected list, school and grade coverage, evidence of outcomes, conditions for replication and scaling, and data-security review.
