Suzhou Launches "AI Empowerment, Skills Renewal" Summer Training Program, First General AI Skills Course Opens

On August 2, the first Suzhou general AI skills training session under the "AI Empowerment, Skills Renewal" program was held at the Suzhou Entrepreneurship Park in China, with 60 urban and rural workers interested in AI-related jobs attending. The course covered AI fundamentals and learning paths, LLM prompt engineering and task expression, comprehensive AI visual applications and practice, and quick onboarding to mainstream AI platforms and tools. Zhou Cheng, deputy director of the Suzhou Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, said the city fully launched the summer skills training program this summer and is simultaneously implementing a special "AI+" skills talent training initiative.

This is a concrete move by a local human resources authority to include AI tool proficiency in public vocational skills training, directly affecting whether ordinary workers can access AI skills training and shaping regional AI talent supply and the market for related training products. The first session covered 60 people, and the planned training complexes and public courses are still at an early stage, so actual coverage and training outcomes await public data. Urban and rural workers can access AI tool training through publicly organized programs, lowering individual learning barriers. The local human resources authority is extending general AI training into universities, enterprises, industrial parks, and youth communities, expanding public AI skills training supply.
