Suzhou Municipal People's Congress Launches Five-Month AI Application Training

On August 20, the Standing Committee of the Suzhou Municipal People's Congress opened a five-month AI application training program attended by its chair, Huang Aijun. A China Mobile expert delivered the opening course, 'General AI Knowledge and Application Practice,' after participants visited the Suzhou Mobile Technology Experience Center.

The program is a local legislature's effort to strengthen its ability to apply AI. It may influence future local legislation and oversight related to AI and offer practical reference for AI education policy. Improving officials' AI literacy may support the development and refinement of local AI regulations, while setting an example for other local government bodies and encouraging AI use in the public sector.
