India Consortium Launches YellowDots Talent DPI with Free AI Tutor and AI Proficiency Certificate

On October 6, 2026, a consortium including mySATHI Foundation, Career Launcher, FERMI and IIT Kharagpur, guided by EkStep Foundation, announced three free services for India's youth. The services run on YellowDots, a new Digital Public Infrastructure for Talent, previously piloted in Ghaziabad and Visakhapatnam and now live for all. They include structured exam preparation from Career Launcher, a free personal AI tutor by IIT Kharagpur with Fermi AI through the National Digital Library of India, and a free AI proficiency certificate from IIT Kharagpur.

The event places an AI tutor, exam preparation content and an AI proficiency certificate on open public infrastructure free of charge, directly changing how Indian students can access AI learning tools and a job credential, and offering education product builders a model where public infrastructure carries AI tutoring and certification. Its impact depends on the actual district-by-district coverage, recruiter acceptance of the certificate and the scale of AI tutor use; the original text provides no user numbers, learning outcome data or recruiter adoption data. Indian students can access a free AI tutor and AI proficiency certificate, lowering barriers to exam preparation and skills certification. Schools, colleges, CSR programmes and non-profits can deploy these services for their own students on the same public infrastructure.
