CUHK-Shenzhen launches MSc in AI admissions with education AI track among nine directions

The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen has officially launched admissions for its Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MSc in AI) programme. The full-time, two-year programme is taught entirely in English and plans to offer nearly 70 courses. It sets nine frontier directions: three technical tracks in agentic AI, AI infrastructure, and embodied intelligence and robotics, plus six applied tracks in business AI, life science AI, education AI, conversational AI, AI and mathematics, and industrial AI. Students who complete 36 major credits and meet the requirements receive a Master of Science degree from CUHK.

By making education AI a standalone training track, the programme begins to systematically cultivate AI talent for education scenarios, which could change the talent supply structure for AI education products and school settings. Education technology companies may gain more relevant composite talent, and schools may gain stronger professional support when adopting AI teaching systems. The original text does not disclose enrollment numbers, tuition, course start dates, or the specific curriculum of the education AI track, so the actual training scale and outcomes cannot yet be verified. Education AI becomes a standalone training track, potentially giving education technology teams a more relevant supply of composite talent. The programme covers agentic AI, infrastructure and embodied intelligence, which may widen the talent pool available for technology choices in AI education products.
