Fujian Launches 'AI Plus Manufacturing' Skills Training Series, First Session Opens in Fuzhou
To implement the Fujian 'AI Plus Manufacturing' Action Plan (2026-2028), the first session of the AI Plus Manufacturing skills training series, hosted by the Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, opened in Fuzhou on September 11. About 100 representatives from manufacturing enterprises, AI service providers and industry associations attended on site, while nearly 1,200 joined online via livestream. Experts from CAICT, China Telecom and Huawei were invited to teach policy interpretation, large model and agent technology trends, and practices such as industrial agents and visual quality inspection. Ten sessions are planned across the province from September to December.
This training is a talent-support action for implementing the Fujian AI Plus Manufacturing Action Plan (2026-2028), directly aimed at raising AI literacy among manufacturing workers and representing a local practice combining AI talent development with industrial application. For AI education product providers, enterprise needs in selecting technologies, scenarios and projects may create a market for in-service AI application training and tool services; for schools and teachers, the industry-cluster-based training model offers a reference for industry-education alignment. Public information currently covers only training organization and curriculum direction, with no quantitative results on training outcomes or enterprise adoption. Manufacturing workers receive training on policy interpretation, large model and agent trends, and practices such as industrial agents and visual quality inspection, expanding from about 100 on-site and nearly 1,200 online in the first session to 10 sessions from September to December. The provincial industry and information technology department is using a training series to implement the AI Plus Manufacturing action plan, linking content to key industry clusters and potentially driving demand for AI application training and project coaching for manufacturing.
