Guangdong Provincial Government Services and Data Bureau Holds AI-Oriented Data Governance Training

On September 17, 2026, the Guangdong Provincial Government Services and Data Bureau held a special training session on AI-oriented data governance, attended by provincial departments and the Guangzhou and Shenzhen data exchanges. The training followed the theme of moving from traditional data governance to AI-oriented data governance, combining theoretical study with multi-industry practice cases and explaining methods for turning data resources into retrievable, trainable and applicable assets. Lecturers from Sun Yat-sen University, the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court, the Provincial Institute of Land Resources Surveying and Mapping, and the Shenzhen Government Services and Data Bureau's "Shen Xiao i" team presented cases on high-quality datasets, judicial AI, natural resources and government large models.

The training addresses data governance capacity for AI in the public sector, part of data infrastructure and talent preparation for public-sector AI adoption, which can indirectly affect the quality of data supply and the conditions for AI deployment in public fields such as education. Its direct effect is currently limited to the training activity itself; no public assessment, certification or follow-up implementation arrangement has been announced, so the impact on education needs to be verified through later government data opening and AI deployment. As government departments advance AI adoption, data governance and high-quality dataset construction become prerequisites, potentially affecting how AI products in public services such as education connect to data. The training covers justice, natural resources and government services cases, offering reference methods for public-sector AI data governance, but it does not address specific arrangements for education scenarios.
