iHUB Selects 12 Kenyan Edtech Teams, Prioritizing Accessible, Offline, and Multilingual Learning

On July 31, iAfrica reported that iHUB and the Mastercard Foundation had selected 12 early-stage Kenyan edtech teams. Six focus on learners with disabilities, while others develop multilingual, offline, or AI-assisted learning products.

This group of products shows that weak connectivity, language, and accessibility remain important constraints on AI education. The teams are still at the incubation stage, and follow-up should track pilot participants, approaches to offline delivery, and actual learning evidence.
