MagicSchool AI Founder Describes Teacher-to-Entrepreneur Journey as Platform Reaches One-Fifth of U.S. Students

MagicSchool AI founder Adeel Khan said in an interview that the platform works with major U.S. districts including Denver Public Schools and Broward and Hillsborough county schools. The company says it partners with schools attended by one-fifth of U.S. students and has about eight million registered educators worldwide. It has raised nearly $63 million in total, with its latest round a $2.4 million seed led by Range Ventures, and revenue tripled year over year last year.

MagicSchool's broad adoption shows AI education tools moving from pilots toward scale. Its reach may affect K–12 teaching practice and data-privacy management. Partnerships covering schools attended by one-fifth of U.S. students may encourage more district adoption, while eight million registered educators indicate growing demand for AI-assisted teaching.
