Singapore Integrates AI Literacy Across the Curriculum, Co-Curricular Activities, and Citizenship Education

On March 3, Singapore's Ministry of Education announced AI literacy arrangements spanning all stages of education. Relevant content will enter the formal curriculum, co-curricular activities, and self-directed learning resources, while Code for Fun is planned to expand to all schools.

Citizenship education will also add verification of generative-AI information and deepfake recognition, placing coding skills, tool use, and media judgment in the same learning pathway.

Key areas to watch include course content for each age group, teacher training, student work and assessment methods, and differences in implementation among schools.
