Tunghai University to Launch Mobile AI Credit Course in Bangkok from September 26

Tunghai University in Taiwan announced it will launch a "Mobile AI Application Credit Course (Thailand Class)" in Bangkok starting September 26, aimed at Taiwanese business executives and centered on smartphone operation, with no programming background required. The university said the course combines in-person teaching with follow-up online learning and starts from daily work scenarios. In June, university president Chang Kuo-en traveled to Bangkok to meet local Taiwanese businesspeople, corporate figures, and industry, government, and academic representatives to learn about needs in AI adoption, digital transformation, talent development, and business succession.

This is a university moving AI training directly to an overseas hub of Taiwanese businesses, targeting executives, which reflects that the bottleneck in corporate AI adoption is shifting from technology procurement to managerial capability and workflow redesign. For AI education product practitioners, a course using smartphones as the entry point and zero programming background as its selling point indicates clear demand for low-threshold AI learning aimed at non-technical managers; for universities, it is an attempt to connect continuing education with industry needs and export it overseas. The original text provides only the university's plans and statements, with no data on course scale, enrollment, or completion outcomes, so actual results remain to be seen. Taiwanese business executives can access practical AI applications via smartphone without a programming background, lowering the starting threshold for managers learning AI. A university continuing-education model has emerged that is oriented to overseas industry needs and delivered as a credit course.
