Eight Korean Colleges and EBS Jointly Develop AI Ethics Course

Eight Korean colleges, including Keimyung College University, and EBS jointly developed a course titled "AI Ethics Stories in Everyday Life" as part of a college innovation support project. The eight colleges and EBS co-designed the learning objectives, course content and assessment framework, with each college contributing lecture topics and faculty based on its expertise. The consortium plans to expand credit recognition beyond participating institutions and extend the program into AI education and certification for community members. It is the second joint achievement by the eight colleges and EBS, following last year's AI Office Competency Micro-Degree program.

This is a concrete move by Korean colleges to co-build an AI ethics course through a consortium and attempt cross-institutional credit recognition, directly changing the AI ethics learning conditions for students at participating institutions and offering a reusable course and certification path for other colleges and community members. Its impact depends on whether credit recognition actually expands beyond the consortium and how widely the community AI certification program is implemented. Students at the eight participating colleges can take a unified remote AI ethics course and access shared teaching resources and faculty. The consortium plans to extend credit recognition and AI education certification to other colleges and community members, potentially widening AI learning access beyond enrolled students.
