Shanghai Achieves Full Coverage of AI Foundations in Grades 4 and 7, with at Least 30 Class Periods per Grade

Materials on Shanghai's experience released by China's Ministry of Education on March 13 confirm that all grade 4 and grade 7 students in Shanghai now take AI Foundations for one class period per week and at least 30 class periods in total per grade.

Shanghai's approach establishes a standalone local course in key grades while continuing integration in other grades through national courses, school-based courses, clubs, and after-school services, followed by comprehensive application in authentic contexts at high school.
