Xueersi has launched its flagship T6 series of learning devices alongside two modules, Advanced AI Tutor and International Academy. The first uses AI diagnosis and interactive classes to generate personalized learning paths, while the second targets the middle and premium market with English-learning resources. According to a CCID report, China's AI learning-device market was expected to exceed RMB 32 billion in 2025, with the six leading brands holding a combined 89.18% share.
Zuoyebang held an AI Super Teacher event on August 17, launching an upgraded AI tutor with two-way interaction and explanations it says rival a human teacher, alongside the premium Z100 and X70 Ultra learning devices. Zuoyebang says AI Super Teacher is the industry's only AI education agent at master-teacher level. Certification testing by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology found learning outcomes improved by more than 42% after use. Zuoyebang also says it holds over 30% of the market and ranks first in unit and revenue sales.
Meta has partnered with Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy through its 3MTT program and National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, together with RAIN, to launch AI Academy Nigeria. It offers free AI courses, a startup pitchathon, and a developer boot camp for developers, startups, students, and early-career professionals. Pitchathon applications close August 21, 2026. Winners receive cash and advertising credits and an opportunity to attend an AI summit in Istanbul in November.
Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced in an Independence Day address that the state plans to introduce AI education from Grade 6 through two programs, AI Akshara Abhiyana and Coding Gurukula. Karnataka also plans to establish India's first government-owned AI university in Bengaluru and launch AI certificate courses in January 2027.
Sunway College has launched a Diploma in Applied Artificial Intelligence covering machine learning, generative AI, natural-language processing, cloud AI, and intelligent systems. Students can build chatbots, predictive tools, and automated workflows and complete internships, including real projects at Sunway University's Centre for Human-Machine Collaboration Research in areas such as 3D mapping and oil-palm fruit-ripeness detection. The diploma provides a pathway to Sunway University bachelor's and master's degrees in AI. Sunway College also signed an MOU with an open-technology incubator to strengthen industry-academic cooperation.
